Nice post.I love year-round school. like the shorter, more frequent breaks (my kids get a three-week break every nine weeks or so), and I don't miss the long, three-month summer vacation.Even though year-round education may seem like an educational innovation, it has actually been around for quite some time. :)

Year around might make sense. It keeps the focus and allows each course to build on each other.

People look at me strange when I tell them I graduated high school in November of 1978. I got a head start on everything by going in the Summer quarter and I only needed a few courses in the Fall quarter to meet the graduation requirements.
